On Thursday 10th December Paul Ravenhill took to the stage on the ICAO Global Symposium which this year focused on the ‘Implementation of Innovation in Aviation’. Paul was invited to join the 5th panel with the main topic of discussion being the economic aspects of ‘innovation in aviation’ as part of the Paris/ Montreal broadcast. This was one of the 3 different time zones adopted by ICAO for the symposium this year as a result of the event having to move to a virtual interface this year.

As Pauls notes: “The session was a lively discussion on incentivising innovation concluding that there are some great technologies ready to support cost effective modernisation of aviation – but collaboration and regulatory support is required to ensure a timely transition”

The whole symposium was broadcasted by ICAO on their ICAO.tv platform which is fully accessible to all to have a look at the different panels and presentations across the 4 day event.
