In recognition of our contributions and successes to data-driven projects internationally, Think have been selected as a finalist for the ‘Analytic Company of the Year’ award 2024, by the British Data Awards.

The awards are an annual event celebrating a shared passion for data while bringing together data success stories from various industries across the UK. For over 10 years we have been working together with NATS and Leidos in the development and deployment of Intelligent Approach (IA), a computer tool that controllers use to accurately separate aircraft on final approach.

IA has been successfully deployed at Heathrow, Toronto and Schiphol delivering immediate benefits through reduction in delays and improvements in operational resilience.  We deliver the adaptation tailored for each airport based on tens of thousands observed hours of aircraft operations, radar data, ATC system data and meteorological data to ensure that the system delivers safe information to the air traffic controllers that also improve the efficiency of the operations.  Our work is safety critical and so we also ensure that the data processing, analytical techniques, and tools all meet formal safety requirements.

Think have recently celebrated 20 years, over which time our teams have continued to develop and provide pragmatic and insightful analysis for our clients.  Our current work builds on this precedence and being shortlisted for this award recognises both this heritage and current achievements.

Congratulations to all the finalists across all categories and we look forward meeting you all at the awards ceremony on 8th May.
