On Thursday 31st October Think ATM Director, Paul Ravenhill and ATM Consultant, Elizabet Pavlova, attended the EASA workshop on the Conformity Assessment at the EASA HQ in Cologne Germany. The workshop was attended by a large group of stakeholders including EUROCONTROL, CANSO, EASA advisory bodies, authorities of the Member States, ANSPs and ATM manufacturers. The key objective of the workshop was to gather stakeholder opinions to gain a better understanding of the requirements for developing regulations that will support the future framework for interoperability of ATM/ ANS systems and constituents.
We attended the workshop to further understand and identify what the EASA’s plans are for the future Conformity Assessment and to incorporate our learnings from the workshop within our current Evolution of Standards project.
