We are ready for school!

This week is the second summer school organised by the Engage KTN the SESAR Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), rather than the usual physical event, this year will be a virtually run event in the Autumn. It is set to be a great gathering of PhD students, experienced researchers and industry representatives discussing all that is exploratory in the world of ATM research.

Tomorrow (Thursday 24th of September), Think Consultant Maribel Tomás Rocha will present our “Project RoMiAD” which was awarded by ENGAGE, under Thematic Area 4:  Novel and more effective allocation markets in ATM. Project RoMiAD* is considering how market mechanisms can best incentivise a to a cost efficient transition to the distributed architecture proposed by the Airspace Architecture Study (AAS) . During the presentation, Maribel will discuss how “big picture” virtualisation delivers significant benefits but requires new arrangements for service provision that will need effective incentives for ANSPs to adopt.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase the current progress in the project, alongside many other interesting presentations from industry colleagues.
